Job# Question

Hi Everyone,
Is there a way by looking at the truck to tell if its a job1 job2 job3 truck? Just got a 08 F250 the other day and really like so far!
Thanks Jim

Not sure but I'll try to help...

If you have the window sticker it says on there. Build date may be on door sticker, if it's built in any month of 08 it's a job3.

Something doesn't make sense on those dates.

actual difference

Other than build date, I believe there are physical differences between job 1 and 2 (please correct me if I am wrong)

Here is my question if you have latest software updates would a job 2 be the same as job 3?

The reason I am asking is i am looking for a truck. I am willing to travel to get it and I believe I have read in this forum that there are some problems with job 1. So should I make sure I have job 3 or will job 2 with updates be the same.

Thanks for your help

Sorry, we posted at the same time. I've had job 1,2, and 3. My opinion is that all are good with the right flash and the venturee tee. My .02.

There were a couple of short periods of the Job #1 trucks that had injectors that were improperly installed or tested. Also, I believe the bad crimps on the radiators was a Job #1 issue.

The only noticeable physical difference between Job #1 and #2 is the longer chin spoiler on the Job #2.

Personally I wouldn't worry about the Job number at all. If the dealer does its job then it doesn't matter if it is Job #1, #2 or #3. If all the recalls/TSBs are taken care of there is nothing to worry about.
