Does anyone know how to wire a horn button that mounts to the floor? I have no idea how to find the horn wire thru all of the wires coming out the steering column.
did you get a new horn or stock horn just goin for the firetruck thing... and if you pull this off your helpin me with mine seeing how mine is the one that is white and red...
I do have cruise control and a friend of mine had the same thing in his old chevy truck. I know I can get the kit from any parts store but I have no clue how to wire it in.
Haha no I haven't gotten a new horn dorothy. But remember last winter when my harn just mysteriously went off in the middle of the night? Well I'm hopin that by doing a different button that won't happen this year lol....that and so when I do get the air horns on my truck I'll have the button already hooked up lol.
lol thats what i figured... oh and some new news on my truck.... its dead till spring... earlier if i can get the dough and find someone to put it in... sucks...
You should be able to use a volt meter using the probe in the connector and just trying different wires and pushing the existing horn button and seeing when you get a voltage reading

And if you have not got All your neighbours mad at you and ready to kill you by the time you find the right wire you'll be Damned lucky .....it would be easier to get the kit and read the instructions than to inalienate your yourself from the whole neighbourhood

I would rather toot the horn a couple times rather than spend money on a kit. It's not like there are that many wires anyways to check. My neighbor would probably just come over and try to help anyways - sounds like you got some crappy neighbors if they can't stand a couple horn toots. How do you fix or build a truck in silence anyways?
A horn on the floor. Hmmm. How do I get my 2 horns (Buick) hooked up to my finger, (Middle) while I negotiate my (Ford F-250) thru (Charm City)? Any ideas I can be reached (here).

Be very careful when working in the vicinity of the turn signal switch.
If the truck is equipped with cruise control, there's not one new turn signal switch available anywhere. The switch has been obsolete for almost 20 years.
Everyone wants one, there are none to be found. The turn signal switch fits 1975/77 F100/350's with Cruise Control only: D5TZ-13341-B.
You should be able to find the blue/yellow wire coming out of the bottom of the column. You can tap into it there close to the connector. That's where I tapped into mine.
I'll have to look at it a little closer to decide how I'm gonna do it. And with that turn signal switch being so hard to find is it possible to get one not for cruise control and somehow make it work? I do need to replace my signal switch and the only thing stopping me is finding that part.
