U joints
I was doing some searching for u joints for our trucks and came across alot of threads that says spicer is the best but hard to find. Anyone know where to get a good u joint? I would like to find a nice one i don't have to worry about breaking if i do some heavy towing or maybe even a sled pull or drag once in a while. THanks

Spicer is a great joint, but a precision non-greaseable is good enough for most uses. Non-greaseable or non-serviceable ujoints are a little stronger than greaseables, I've read they are upto 40%.

It's not really a problem I've ever worried about. I use non-greaseables and the only failures I've had were related to the yokes being out of spec. Time frame wise, I don't think I've kept a vehicle longer than 5 years after I replaced the ujoints so I don't know how long they could go. For the price, if you install them yourself, it's not worth the worry.

Non-greasables will last LONGER then the greasable ones unless you grease them a lot.
Spicers are available all over, try Napa, just open the box and check the end-caps - they will say "SPICER" on them. Lots of aftermarket boxes with Spicer joints in them, just gotta check.
