Wow thats really neat Chris, I guess at a 135K I need to go under the valve covers of my truck and tighten them up... now I just need a torque wrench.

Actually you'll need 2. One for in-lbs and one for ft-lbs, unless you can find a ft-lb wrench that is accurate down in the low range.

I have a 3/8" Mac Tools tq wrench that goes fro 5-75 ft-lbs. I've used it for injectors and VB bolts. It is pretty accurate. I've checked it against a beam type that I got in high school to work on lawn mower engines.

But you have nice tools. I wouldn't trust one from harbor freight down in the 10 ft-lbs range. Maybe I'm just too picky, but you can buy a nice torque wrench for less than an injector.

A quote from my stepchildren, several years ago: "You have more tools than the law should allow." I'm glad the tool trucks don't come out to where I work. I'd still have an open account. The misses wouldn't be too happy with that. She doesn't fuss too much when I need something. I am pretty conservative and do my homework before buying things.

The actuators are a pain. The O/H console is pretty easy.

Is the only thing O/H console displays is miles to empty and direction on an 01? Nothing seems to happen when we push the mode button. At least the display works again

You're right about the actuators. I think I'd rather pull the valve covers than fight those stupid things again.

On a plus side, when the engine quieted down after tightening up the injectors, I could hear a noise in the engine I didn't like. Turns out the idler pulley was starting to make noise. Got that fixed today too.

It should read average fuel mpg, gals to empty, direction, and ambient temp.
Does it reset when you press both buttons at the same time? What did find wrong with it? There should be some troubleshooting info in your repair DVD.

Two of the little chips were loose and hanging down from one end. I did notice that a couple of them where white. I assumed that was from the black part with numbers just being a sticker and the sticker came off.

I figured the DVD would just say replace the whole thing if it didn't work. I guess I'll take a look and see what I can find.
