axle swap
and i'm also gonna replace the front ifs with a straight axle. but i don't know what to put in it's place. a rebuilt dana 44 with reverse cut ring and pinion or a new dana 60 with a reverse cut ring&pinion with a high pinion 3rd member.
i plan on either running a 36" tire with a 4" lift or a 38" tire with a 6" lift.
any advice is greatly appreciated
thanks

i dont know how much you plan on spending but Fabritech
can help you with the front swap to a mono. ONLY prob it is expensive and the minimum amount of lift you can get is 8" (up to 12")......darn....that is because of the pumkin hitting the engine cross memeber. The kit runs total about $2400....but that gives you every thing to make it work...front and rear. AND you can have em make you a dana 60 to work in the front! BUT that jacks up your price about a grand....give or take. About the rear....i like the 9" so i probly cant offer much advice there. BUT i am currently working on the lift kit and swap to a mono Dana 44 out of a '78 Bronco so i will let everyone know how it comes out.
