What temperatures for wheel bearings? 2002 e350
Has any one monitored their wheel bearing temperatures? I am curious about what a normal temp might be. I checked my own last week and both of the fronts were at 131 degrees. i was surprised.

I monitor wheel bearing temps regularly. I tow very long distances regularly and use an infared temp gun to monitor wheel bearing temps on the front hubs and trailer along with tire temps on both the van and trailer.
Wheel bearing temps will vary depending on how often and how hard you use the brakes. So if you are using the brakes often and hard, that will raise your wheel bearing temps.
For highway driving figure that between 100 and 120 degrees F is typical. 130 isn't out of line.
