96 e40d to 90 5 speed conversion.
ok let me get in here with a question i have a 90 f350 7.3 inj pump with a 5 speed that does not have low gear its a high gear truck. but my 96 is the 7.3 powerstroke has an e4od does anyone know for sure if the trans will bolt to the powerstroke and if the clutch pressure plate flywheel assy will bolt to the crank are they interchangeable in other words im aware its alot of work but will the inj pump flywheel etc bolt up 2 the turbo diesel i need my 96 asap for work the 90 is just a car hauler i dont need right now. any help will be appriciated but please only reply if you know for sure it will or wont work thanks in advance Keith

as i said i do need to know if the bell housing will bolt up to the powerstoke adapter plate but im looking more for info ifthe flywheel for the standard will bolt to the turbo crank i know the pedals will switch out. i am only looking for info from someone who has done this and knows for sure it will or wont work thanks again for any help.

back to top need help guys will this work i wasnt bein smart in my first to posts its just that i need to know for sure before i tear 2 trucks apart. thats the only reason i said please only reply if you know for sure this will or wont work. i have never had a post not get alot of responses i did not mean to offend anyone i need help with this.
