Fuel

Gas down to 116 a liter, diesel at 119 a liter, things are looking up, looks like Ryan might have predicted right about what he said about fuel in november!!

Seems it`s on the right course and coming down.
Today I had to pay $1.279 for afew litres of diesel on the east side of town.
Seems like your 89 will see some action soon Sheldon, that`s not a bad thing though.

It will be when I get in trouble for the exhaust, brake lights, rust or winshield though!

~sighs~ The old girl needs to be put down. Shes lucky im stubborn.

Where did ya get diesel on the east side of town from?? Coop is always expensive (but from the few times ive used it, its seemed like decent diesel)

It was the Coop but I think the rest of the east side of town is pretty much the same sad story, no breaks on diesel like the north end...
Outside of body work/paint it`ll be fairly reasonable to fix up your 89 if you do all your own work once you get a shop. Unlike the PSD`s parts for these are very plentiful and reasonable from the wreckers and Napa, Parts Source etc.

Yeah Im sure glad to see it at 1.16 but man has it been weird how its been dropping its a good thing none the less havent seen it this cheap for a long time now it can just go back to 1.00 a litre Just today this morning it was a 1.17 then after school

what do you know 1.16 and yesterday it was 1.18 so each day its slowly going down a cent or two kind of funny but Im happy I saw diesel was at 1.27 at more than a few places

When i went into town this morning, I was heading down idywyld going to 33rd. I seen 118, then 117, then 116, from different stations, was kinda neat, I shoulda took a picture of that!

Another great place to get parts is autowreckers, they have tons of old trucks like mine, but i dont wanna break the bank fixing it up either!

Our PSD`s will break the bank long before it`s even noticeable when fixing on your 89. I miss that about my 69 F100, $4-500 in used parts at Amigos would go a long ways on the 69, on the PSD it`s not even a decent start for very minor stuff.

Yeah, that could be. So far I havent had to put much into my psd, but it is getting some km/s on er so I presume I will find that part out.

My ol truck is starting to rust pretty bad on the box now. Ive looked for a decent box for a decent price, but here in sask thats rare to find.

Figure im gonna keep the cab in good shape replace the doors on the cab, and go from there.

Most of the things I can repair too, I just dont have a place to do it. Like the exhaust i just need to cut it and refab it a little bit. But i also have a set of shorty headers Im gonna use on it.

The engine also leaks a little oil, so i wouldnt mind regasketting the whole thing, but then while Im at it, do I redo the mains? Replace the pistons and rings? do the heads?

See what i mean haha

$ 1.13.5 at the Red River Co-op after the 3.5 cents they deduct per liter.

One thing at a time Sheldon. Once you get the shop up and running you won`t want to stop.
Is the 3.5 discount at the pump or do you have to wait for a patronage refund? I suppose once you reach age 65 it would be refunded yearly.

You`re right Sherm, I`ve heard that both gas and diesel should be under $.90 a litre!
Ya, I know, like that`s ever going to happen........
