Salad bowl
Mod number one on the list done ...
Removed the top to the air filter canister ... Got out the cutoff wheel and sliced the bowl off the underside of the lid ... Used a big hammer and screwdriver to knock off the leftover ring of metal that was left spot welded to the lid ... Looks real neat and clean now ... More room to move more air ...
note :
The removal of spot welded parts of sheet metal sometimes result in holes where the welds were ... Some people use JB Weld ... I use Marine Tex Epoxy Putty ...

Seems to ... Throttle response seems to be a bit faster ... And for a diesel that is something ... lol ...
Next up ... New modulator and all new vacuum lines ... Thinking about using fuel line ... No chance of collapsing them ... Maybe even a new vacuum pump ...
