Cool Starting problems?!

Hey guys im kinda having a problem with my truck. Its kinda hard to start sometimes.I have to turn the key over three times to get it to start and when you try to start it it makes a clicking noise in the dash. Also when I do get it started and i run it for a while and go to park it and shut it off and come back to it 10 mins later it does the same thing.Someone told me it might be the glow plug relay?? IDK jus needa lil help.

That sounds like dead batteries. Charge them both and try again.

PSD chatter = electrical problem.

Andrew is right, check your batteries, unhook and load test, also check out your battery cables/terminals. They may just need to be cleaned.

Batteries is my vote also. As the cold weather sets it - not sure if it's cold where you are at - the strength of the batteries are tested. Follow Lisa's advice, test them first and get your cable connections squeaky clean.

There is a possibility of the CPS but I have never heard of the CPS "chattering" the relays. The chattering is due to a low voltage condition and they can't pull in. Have you had the CPS recall done? How old are your batteries? Have you checked all the connections both ends including grounds? When you crank the truck over and it dose'nt start does the tach move?

Bad then good?? Might be as simple as a loose battery connection. I'd start by cleanning and retightening the terminals.

With this statement ^^^^^^^^ it does seem like the glow plug relay, or a few non working glow plugs.
