60 to 61 223 differences
I posted this question on the in-line engine forum a couple weeks ago and still haven't heard anything,those guys are pretty busy with the 300, so I thought I would give it a shot here.
I am in the middle of rebuilding the 223 out of my 60 F100. When ordering rebuild parts, I have found that there are differences for a couple of things between the 54-60 and the 61-64 group. The most puzzling are the rod bearings. Does any one know what the differences are. This is sort of an in between question and I have been able to get what I need for the project but things like this really make me wonder. I also had to find out about cross drilled cams, to be able order the cam bearings I need.
