dana 70?
First I would like to thank all those that responded to my questions about solid axles. Your information was useful! Now my next question. What would be involved (if anything) to put a Dana 70 (from a dually) under a F-150? Is it possible, even if the axles are the same length? If it is possible, does anyone know if there are specific years for these axles to be compatible?

Well my first question would be "Why"? But before you get definsive I my self have done lots of stuff that has brought up that same question to me. Well....i would think that the springs would be a little wider....the tire stance should match up since they pretty much kept the same wheel width in the front. SO i can see them matching the 70 up to what ever. I think i would work...but you might have to swap in spring brackets and springs. ALSO remember the brakes are bigger on that axle...you will need to reproportion your front to rear ratio. Is it worth the trouble? and what about a dana 60? lots easer to swap i would think. AND if it has the dual tires, you will need fender extentions. OR you will be real good friends with the local yocals! BUT if you are set on it, i would say good luck and go for it! Just tring to inform you from a stand point that DOES NOT have alot of info on the subject...so dont take my words as the Bible....
