I had already contacted this guy twice about this radio (73-79, not 71/72). He refuses to change the ad description. 73-79 radios are abundant, 71/72 AM/FM's aren't. He knows the difference because he sold a real 71/72 radio a while back and knows the value. I also gave him the correct part numbers to tell the difference. Don't be fooled by this thief.
yeah i got my faceplate some where from my 70, my 69 i cut to put in a newer style radio.....lame i know but i was young then...but i mean they are not even close to the same, i would think that someone who wanted an OEM radio would know the difference, at lest i would hope so.
Thanks, I thought that was the case, but thoguth I'd make sure. In the 71-2s I assume that they had speakers in the doors?(since its stereo.)
I know the Dents had the holes in the doors even if you didn't get the deluxe stereo radio.

Yes, prior to '73 the only years am/fm was offered in a pick-up was '71 and '72.
Bill will be all over me in a second if I'm wrong...
We already discussed this.
I marked the day down on a calendar, cuz you proved me wrong...and I don't make too many mistakes.
You convinced me that Ford did offer AM/FM radios for F100/350's in 1971/72 by giving me the chassis ID number.
I crossed those number over...the radio is listed, but the radio listings in the parts catalog doesn't say AM/FM. Just the part numbers are listed
Door speakers; Y'all know of course that not only are the speakers the same as 1969/70 Mustangs, but so are the grilles.
Brady...you are living in a dream world if you think most peeps know what these AM/FM radios look like. Most prolly don't even know they existed.
Very few AM/FM's were sold, and prolly half the peeps on FTE weren't even born yet when these trucks were new, so they couldn't waltz on down to their local dealer and see one.
I know of one member that fits this description...
btw: Every week it seems, someone asks what the difference is between 1967/69 grilles.
If they can't tell the difference in the grilles, how the hell will they know what a rare AM/FM radio looks like?
