Quebec makes us put snow tires on our vehicles now.
My girlfriend bought a new escape last year. So we want to get her some new winter tires since she's going to keep it for a while. And have them mounted on steel rims so I can put them on the truck at home when the snow comes..
Who do you think makes a good snow tire? She drives the escape to work every day. We get huge snowfalls and they put tonnes of salt on the roads here. Gets icy and wet. And she needs good traction to climb over that hump of snow they leave in the drive after the plow passes.
I'll need some for the Mazda too. I would have waited a year since her tires already have 1+ year on them and my truck is brand new. But they're making everybody have them on by December 15. I use my truck a lot. And I don't want to have a bunch of sand bags in the back all the time I need the room.
Years ago I stumbled upon Mastercraft Tires, Mastercraft Tires - Home , they're made by Cooper Tire and they're a great "bang for the buck" tire. Now all my vehicles ride on Mastercraft Tires.
Check Tire Rack...I believe they are a FTE sponsor. I've always found them to be the least expensive around...even factoring in shipping and mounting and balancing. They also offer tire and wheel packages.
I've personally used Dunlop Graspic Ice and Snow tires on my Taurus. Never been stuck.
