2003 7.3 flooding

It seems to breath through the intercooler alright. If you un-hook the outlet side hose, the side coming off the Turbo, it runs great. Revs up,no smoke. but let the hose fall down close the Y and restrict the air going into the hose and it looks like she is on fire.
