leaking slave cylinder

Hi I replaced my clutch slave cylinder a year and a half ago and 6 moths after I did it started leaking, it was aftermarket from AAP store, is there any other reason it could be leaking besides the fact that it could be bad? the first one was replaced for the same reason!

Nope... If the hose from the master is leaking, thats the only thing. Also the aftermarket ones tend to not last as long... I used on my 95 and it lasted about 18 months and the truck wasnt driven for probably 8 of those months, if not more.

Get one from the stealership... They last longer.

There is an internal seal that tends to go bad after time.
I replaced my slave cylinder almost 18 months ago and bought all new Luc parts.
They make a good quality part and they have a good warranty too.
