That depends on intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, rocker ratios, block ID, crank ID, Camshaft curve, carburator/fuel injection setup, milage since build/rebuild with proof, what transmission, truck or car bellhousing/oil pan/waterpump-spacer or not and finally what heads are on the engine. Overall if it came out of a 1956 car is running a 3 speed manual (non-OD) with teapot, crossoverpipe exhaust and no recent rebuild it would probably be worth a couple hundred bucks to someone. If it has the ecz-g heads, duel rear-exit exhaust manifolds, original 2X4 carburation, and a 3-speed overdrive transmission it will be worth a lot more and most likely most valuable to sell as parts.

I have a 292 1964 yblock with 3 speed from 64 F100.
I also have a 272 1956 with 4 speed from a 56F600 -both are complete but I never heard them run.
Which would you use in a 1956 F100? and--what front motor mount do I use? thanks and sorry for buttin' in!! thanks Bill

Walford's,

I would probably go with the 64 - 292 and the 4-speed. Though I'd go through the part numbers on each engine and verify what heads and such are there. You at the least want the modern style 2 or 4 barrel from the 64 and a good set of heads would be the ecz-G heads.
