my striker pin on the drivers side is threaded and i don't know what to do! it looks like a pain to replace the plate inside the door frame! what should i do chase the threads out? and can i buy a new pin and plate? i am in the process of a resto so the pins where way off from the po who had bondo in the old doors so he had to move it to match the body lines! i have new doors so i need to move it back to original position! and in the process the pin threaded when i loosened it, and i think it was loose from when the idiot previous owner moved it back in 97 !

That's probably your best bet if the threads are gone. The new striker may make it's own threads. I'm not sure if you can get that size of re-threader or not.
