need help!!!!!!
ok heres whats goin on. i got a set of home made step bars for my 1989 ford ranger custom 4x4. the bars are made out of 1 1/2" diameter conduit pipe and have a plate welded onto each end. at first i thought it would be easy to just drill soem holes in the frame and bolt them up. but then i noticed the body mount brackets and radius arm brackets. so then i thought i could just make a box to go around the brackets and weld the pip to the box. but because the way the frame curves up that wont work either. so im asking, does anyone have step bars on their truck? and if so how are they mounted? and im also open for any sugestions as to how to mount these damn things. thanks in advance for any help.

Well if you have a welder and a torch, i dont see why you can make a custom bracket for it. Why not just knock out some of thr rivits on the mounts and get some longer Grade 8 bolts and use the holes to mount the nurf bar? Would be plenty strong and also reinforced as well. Just my thought.......
