Do you have auto or manual hubs? First, make sure your shifter is working. Have a friend run the shifter back and fourth while you watch from underneath.(Truck off of course) Next, make sure your hubs are engaged. If it's an open knuckle front end, reach around the inside of the knuckle and try to spin the Ujoint. (Front tires jacked up and on jackstands. If the hub says locked, and you can spin the Ujoint but not the tire, you got a broke hub, or stub shaft. If they are auto hubs the wire that actuates the 4x4 probably got ripped loose. Look around and find it. Hope some of that helps
