Hey Travis, could I ask how long and how it was you came to be an "Iron Horse Tamer". Wow, theres a moniker? Probably an old one you've heard forever though. Some things pop in your brain but youre never the originator.
You guys talk about your weather all you want. What we get in Winslow is wind and did it blow today. We had gusts up to 72 mph. I was sitting at Bashas parking lot waiting for my wife and saw this shopping cart blow out of one of the cart holders as if it were launched from a catapult. This elderly Navajo couple just pulled in to park and that cart hit the side of their 2wd Dodge truck just behind the pass door and it looked like a car rammed it. Makes me sick to see those crazy carts running around like that in the wind. Anyway when it rains or snows up here it blows so hard it doesn't hit the ground till it's out of the city limits. You need spring spacers on one side of your vehicle up here just so you can drive level in the wind!
Travis I remember working with you and we talked about your F-250.I looked at it in your profile, good lookin' ride 'specially with that BLUE OVAL just above the Bull Bar. I'm building my old 351 HO that came out of my 86 F-150 so I can put it back in and take my 460 and HD c-6 out. The 460 is pure power and torque, but I built it 10:8 to 1 and the fuel bill is killin' me so I'm puttin my 351 back in with some better heads and cam, headers, and a good hi rise to settle back down to where I can get maybe 15 mpg on 87 octane. When you have to fill up with 92octane and Moroso octane booster, you see why I,m still working! Hope to see ya all at a get-to-gether soon, Bud
