I was looking on the internet to see what i could do for better fuel mileage on my little work truck and i came across a few things on the internet but this one boggled my mind. Theres a couple website on the internet but water4gas.com is one of them but pretty much its adds a little of water vapor into the combustion chamber. This really caught my eye saying it could save 40 percent fuel but it cost fifty dollars and i was just about to buy it but then i thought maybe it doesnt work that well otherwise more people would do it. Im going to put it on my little four cylinder s10 as a trial and if it did work i was going to put it on my F-250 5.4. Has anyone ever built one of these things or whether they work very well. You just get the instructions when you buy it. Thanks for any info.
Yup..hot load of BS. WW2 bombers used to use water/alcohol injection systems to save fuel on long range runs but that is a far cry from using a jar of water...
Alright i never heard of it before last week but i wasnt sure about it. It looked to good to be true, since if it did work i figured i would of heard of it before. But thanks for saving me my 50 dollars guys.
i thought the same thing. wasn't sure if would work. found directions for free online and built one myself to find out. it deff produces a very explosive gas. its in my 78' F-250 now. not sure if i'm gettin any better gas mileage but its not hurting it. possibly a little more zest to the engine. and it looks cool sittin in there. and it was fun blowing up bottles with the gas it makes, even if its not savin me gas. the thing was frickin as loud as a 12 gauge!! so i don't know if it works or not.

Gee, what gas could that be?
The water/alcohol injection was also used by GM on supercharged Olds engines IIRC. Helps cool the intake charge, preventing detonation with high cylinder pressures found in super/turbo charged engines, and theoretically high compression engines as well.
Spearco made a water vapor injector in the late 70's when octane dropped and unleaded was "in". I used it on a very high compression engine I was running and it's basically the equivalent of driving in ht erain- the increased humidity cools the cylinder reducing "ping" which when combined with retarding the timing a bit and richening up the fuel mixture a tad, worked ok.
