I was considering putting a plow on my truck to make a few extra $ this winter, how do I know if I have the snowplow prep package? It is a 2004 SC/SB 350 FX4 6.0 PSD. It has dual alt's and a steering stabilizer, if that helps. If I don't have the package, do I just get new front springs?
Thanks
sounds like thats all your missing is the right springs for the plow(some psd trucks are advised in the manuel to not use a plow)they get nose heavy....but I know a guy that has 4 superdutys with the psd and 9ft boss vblads on em he has an extra spring put in the front but he also has a salt spreder in the back of them too...
Yeah, w/ the diesel it can exceed the max gawr for the front. Really, the spring code will tell you if you have the plow package from the factory or not.
Also look at the tech folder in red , at the top of the opening superduty page , lots of good stuff their, if it has the plow package it should have a X under the "ax" part of the sticker and another letter for the rear axle code , Craig.
I plow with the V code springs no problem. im looking for the heavier spring but only because I want a little more lift, the truck barely lowers with the plow up.
