On Saturday I installed a set of Firestone Ride Rites on my truck. They are working really great and the install was pretty simple! I havnt towed with them yet but they help alot with weight, when i put around 2000 pounds of hay in the bed. here are some pictures of them:
I have had a set for 2 years on my 07 and they are a big help. My truck is at least 11,000 lbs every day and some days I ad another 2 or 3000 so they help a lot. I keep them filed up to 100 psi. all the time so I do not need the onboard air. They also held towing my dump trailer. Nice install and good luck.
I've been looking to get a set for my new truck but have been afraid of leaking air. I have timbrens on my other truck for about 2 years and they have been great, last time the truck had about 4500-5000lbs in the back and hardly any sagging. The only thing is the ride is pretty hard when unloaded but not much that can go wrong with them. How long does it take to install with the onboard air controls?

it took me probably around 4-5hours....it was really simple though! I was also skeptical about them leaking so i have kept them pumped up to 90psi all week and so far they have only dropped 2psi on the left and 1psi on the right. And the install was really simple the instructions thats are included are dead on! Firestone did a really good job with setting these up!
I have the same system. I love mine. Perfect for when I have to haul loads of wire and/or pipe. I have my switches/gauge mounted in the 05+ driver side storage bin under the dash.
