04 HPOP fitting?
I have a friend with an 04 F250 CrewCab 4x4 6.0. He has had quite a few problems with his truck, but all covered under warranty so far. I gave him the link to Powerstroke.com and he's been watching all the video's to get educated. He mentioned to me that on one of the video's they made reference to a HPOP fitting on the 04 model. Basically what was said that the fitting could come loose at anytime and your motor is toast! Is this true, and is there a fix?

That would be the STC(snap to connect) fitting in the HPOP system and there have been problems with them however I have never heard of any motor being toasted as a result. It may leave you stranded though but usually gives a hard or no start condition when the engine is warm.

I thought this applied to 2005 and later. Not sure the 2004 has this style pump.
The bracket kit is about $60 from Ford, BUT there is an even better solution that has come out since the bracket kit...
