what is the difference from a 4x4 and a 4x4 with the off road pkg in a 99 F150ext cab.

That was funny and you don't know how many times I have thought the same thing. Probably a trim item and nothing mechanical.

4x4 Off-Road Equipment Group: (optional for the XLT and Lariat models ONLY)
- P265/70Ex17SL OWL A/T Tires W/17" Aluminum wheels
- 4 Skid Plates (gas tank, xfer case, frame front x-member)
- HD Shocks
- 3.55 Gearing
and last but not least

your 4x4 OFF-Road Decal

I dont know who "them" are but I pride myself in not following the crowd. If I did that I would have a Chebby right?

off road pkg

i dont see much of anthing different .i use to have a 85 f250 i now i have a 95 that says offroad on it.fun thing is it sits lower than the 85 does.maybe ford lowered tham that year who knows?
