Door compatiblitly question
Does anyone know if a door from a 93 will fit onto an 87? They look to be about the same. The only thing different I can tell is the mirror mounting position.

Yeah, the Gen 2s have a different mirror mounting position and setup.If it makes a difference my 87 is a manual door, no power anything, and the door I'm looking at is also a manual no power anything.

The 93 door will not fit the 87. Because the 93 Ranger has no rain gutter edge, the door wraps up into the roof a bit, farther up than the 87 door. The angled front edge of the door, where it meets up with the windshield is shaped differently and is wider. The body contour is also different from the window line down to the bottom of the door along with a body line change that brought it up to almost mid way on the door. The newest door you could use would be from a 92 Ranger or 90 Bronco II. Even though the doors would physically fit, the door interior panel is shaped different than the 87. But that could be changed.
