Serpentine belt again?
'99, 3 liter auto, x-cab, 2x4, 99,000 miles
I replaced factory belt and tensioner at 57,000 mi. Belt from Advance Auto has always been noisy, especially in cold and dampness. I don't even know which brand they sold me - nothing special. Now I'm getting a click click click on every revolution as it idles and I watch with my head under the hood and a light in hand. If the tensioner pulley is going, should I be able to see a wobble as it idles? It didn't go bad the first time, I just replaced belt and pulley 'cause I thought it was time. Does the idler pulley ever go bad?
