Dana 60 conversion
Ford does not make a coil sprung dana 60 but it may be possible to fabricate the coil mounts on the dana 60 front diff(but it will be expensive) What I did was install the Dana 60 in the rear and just converted my dana 44 front diff to 8 lug hub and rotors from any f250 with a dana 44 front end hope this helps

Hi Kristie,
One place to check for what your after is a company called Danatrac, they can make just about anything you might want. However it won't be cheap. Their phone # is 714-898-5528, and they are in Ca., only other option would be to find a good fabricater and have the perches, trac-bar mount and radius arm brackets welded to a 60 housing, and then figure out the steering set-up.
Good luck and let me know if Ya go with the 60 set-up-I'd be interested to know final cost of the project and how it all worked out. Chuck P.

The company is actualy called Dynatrac, the number is correct. They built the Dana 44 for my Wrangler. It is a little pricey to have a custome made axle about $2000 and up.But if you consider that changing the ring and pinion($500-$700),installing a Detroit locker($500),and replacing inner and outer bearings and seals($200),new U-Joints,steering knuckle bushings, etc. it really isnt that bad. There are afew other good companies like Hicks 4x4 in Pomona Ca.909-865-7170, Currie Enterprises in Anahiem,Ca. 714-528-6957, Sams Off Road in Tulsa Ok. 918-446-5535. You just need to shop around.
Welding your own spring perches, and other major welding modifications can damage the axle if not performed propperly.

Dana 60 conversion
kristie all of said is true but i have succeded in completing this conversion, although you have to take in cosideration of all the custom work thats involved listed companies that were in use were fabtech, valley spring, and dynatrac, machining would take place in the c-bushings for proper caster and welding would be on the axle for a trac-bar location although this sounds easy if you are a competent welder(not the voyeur type lol)just make sure everything is measured against the old setup and compensate for the extra mass of the d-60,but i must forewarn it gets kind of pricey but well worth it in the end as long as the new hulk isn't a worn outjunker hope this help and let me know after you complete it or if you need any more help.hafa adai.

Dana 60 conv to F150
First of all the coil spring chairs are on your radius arms not on the front end itself. If you want to keep the front end coil springs you can buy radius arm C- bushing wedges that will fit a Dana 60 you will have to do little grinding (Jeff's Bronco grave yard $89.99. The tie rods will work and the drag link will work but you will have to fabricate a mount for the traction bar.
