No C4 transmissions were used with FE (352/360/390) engines.
1965/67 F100/350 352: MX Cruise-O-Matic / 1968/76 F100/350 360/390 = C6 Cruise-O-Matic.

The G on the vin decoder just says auto and probably c6. Both of my 78 f150 have c4s but they are behind 302 eng. Thats good to know.

Ford confusion: Every Warranty Plate has a
G for the A/T code from 1965 thru 1978, regardless of the A/T type.
1979:
G = C4 /
K = C6.
Ford assumed parts & service personnel would know which
G was used with what engine.
1978 was the first year that Ford offered a C6 on an F100/150 w/a 302 engine.
More 1979 F100/150's w/302's have C6's than C4's.
