I need some fuel system help!!!
Im running the stock fuel tank, with a welded in sump that the feed line comes from. Im using a Holley Blue for a fuel pump, and Its slightly lower than the tank (mounted on the frame rail, dont know how to go any lower than that...) I get a very erratic fuel pressure. I have a return line running from the regulator back to the original feed in the stock location.
I dont know whats causing my erratic fuel pressure, basically. One minute it will be running at 6psi, and the next it will be down at 2psi or up to 12psi. The regulator makes a very funny noise when the pressure starts jumping around, almost like air is getting in the lines, but everything is tight and I just dont see how air could be getting in the lines. And its wierd, because sometimes the pressure will sit on 6psi just as steady as a rock... and at random it will start acting up.
For an engine, im running a 306 with a speed demon carb...
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please offer them. Im pulling my hair out, and starting to regret buying this truck.
Dont pull your hair out just yet, you will find it! LOL
