I have an 06 XLT that I put in the OEM 6 disc/mp3. I really like the radio and it all works fine, but I have poor bass. I know there is a sub output on this, but I dont know what to do with it or wha tI need to do to hook it all up. I would like to stay all OEM if possible.
I have the factory radio in my 06 150 and it is alright for the sound but if you are wanting good bass sound I would look at getting an upgrade to a stronger amplified and better sub . But if you really want the factory sub mine has a wiring harness that came in it I am not sure if it automatically comes in the trucks though and not sure where to find one.
I've got an 05 FX4 that I just put in a Shaker 500 deck and a factory sub as well. The wiring harness for the sub was already in my truck. We pulled out the original deck and the sub wire was attached with tape to the main wiring harness.
As for the other end that plugs into the sub box, it was underneath the carpet. It was located by the leg of the rear seat in my crew cab. We just pulled it out from underneath the carpet and plugged it in.
Sounds awesome, especially with the Shaker 500 deck.
