Well since we are getting to boost our post counts.........Why not use liquid graphite?

Seriously.....if your mechanically inclined at all they make rebuild kits. Not sure how they compare in cost to just buying new, which is worth it I dunno! Id remove it and clean the lil booger up good and see how that works out. If not Id just replace new personally.

I pulled it off yesterday morning....cleaned it all up and reinstalled. Worked perfectly all day.

As of 5 am, the flippin' brake wouldn't release again.

Again, it's hard for me to say without actually seeing the setup, but it's starting to sound like maybe something is worn enough that it's binding due to excessive play (like a shaft binding inside a bushing?) - that's the type of problem that no amount of cleaning and lubrication will fix...

I dunno what is so puzzling about the problem, this aint rocket science, you found a sticking caliper, stop farting around and replace the thing, so you can stop scratching yer head and spend more time drinking beer.

More beer drinking is a good thing.

I'm gonna replace the caliper tomorrow...somehow, it still puzzles me that I have a sticking caliper when the ebrake is applied, but not when the normal brakes are applied.

I'm sure you're right tho...I'll go buy a new one tomorrow.

well the park brake is applied mechanically and the service brake is hydraulicly, same piston, yep but the service brake releases when fluid pressure is released, and well... you get the idea, I'm not a brake engineer but I know your caliper is AFU.
