Wheels and tires

I am kicking around getting a set of wheels and tires for my 05 F-250. Before I did this I am going to add a leveling kit which I hear will raise the truck a couple of inches or so. My question..... what size tires can I get under there before having problems with clearance, as far as rim size I am either going with an 18 or 20 inch wheel........long story short........ what is going to fit and look good! Thanks fellas in advance!

With a 2.5" leveling system you can clear 35s:

4 Wheel Parts has a tire fitment guide to give you an idea of what you need to comfortably fit your 35s. The guide lists a 4" lift but you can see for yourself here:

Lift Kits, Tires & Wheels by 4 Wheel Parts

Hope this helps.

While depending on which tire and wheel combo you pick you may need a 4-4.5" suspension to clear them on a 05-07 SD 4x4.
With the right setup you can clear them under a 2.5" system without issue.

We've sold and installed a few :

You can fit 35" with a leveling kit, but it really depends on what you think looks good. You can fit 35" stock actually, but the diesel sits about 1" lower in the front than the gas engines (I measured mine and one almost exactly like it with a diesel). I like the idea of little lift, bigger tire, but a lot of people don't. I'd probably do a leveling kit and F350 block in the rear if I had your truck.

If you are going with 35"s get an 18" wheel. 35" tires w/ 20" wheels leaves little sidewall and if you decide to take it off road or over a curb you'll run a greater risk of damaging the wheel. I've got 16" wheels with my 35"s. I like a lot of meat on the sidewall so when I hop a curb or a pothole I don't have to worry about buying a new wheel.

ReadyLift 2.5 inch Leveling Kit.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...eling-kit.html

Take a look at the thread I started. I put this leveling kit on and stayed with stock 18" wheels and 35" tires. Might give you an idea.

That's why I keep my 16's - what size are you running, 315/75R16's?

Pic 1 is 20x10 Mazzi Hulks with 4.5" Back Space, -25mm offset (I wouldn't recommend them as the chrome isn't the greatest, Diamo 8 Karats are pretty much identical design with a better finish).

Pic 2 is 20x9 Demoda Intimidator 2 with 5.5" Back Space, +12mm offset

Pic 2 will clear the 35s better than Pic 1 on a 05+ truck with a 2.5" leveling system.
