Driveline Problems on my 96 250 Extended Cab; HELP!

LAST EDITED ON 31-Oct-01 AT 01:56 AM (EST)[p]I own a 96 F-250 extended cab with a 460 powering my little beauty. I recently bought a 4" super lift suspension kit and installed it. Well, heres my problem. When I put the lift on I drove it and from start to stop it seemed like the carrier bearing was all bound up and it created a rumbling like sound which vibrated the truck, this isnt a good thing. Well, I didnt like the superlift blocks anyways and how they were all angled so I got a set of blocks(4") from les scwab and used my stock blocks to make my rear end sit level with my front end. Which it did. Bonus. So I then drove it again and the same problem existed. So I had my slip yolk extended a bit and that didnt help at all so I made a drop down bracket for the carrier barring and Ive played with that enough to where the driveline doesnt act up at start and stop it now does it at 70MPH. Real annoying as I make a 300 mile trip a few times a month to bird hunt. So please help if you have had this problem or have any suggestions. I have bigger tires then stock if this is a factor which I dont see it being. I dont know if I need to angle my rear diff or not. Id hope not. Please help. Thanks.

Driveline Problems on my 96 250 Extended Cab; HELP!

4 inches of lift on an extended cab never causes driveline probs unless something is worn out like a u-joint, carrier bearing, etc...check those

Thanks. I already replaced the u-joints when I had the slip yolk entended so I might check the carrier bearing. I dont know why it does it. Hopefully that will fix it. So your saying that I shouldnt even need to drop the carrier bearing down then?
