This is for Mr. Fordsajoke. Ive only ever seen one ford twin I beam truck have a problem with a cracked frame. This is on my 73 F-350 Pumper truck that is consistantly loaded to 12k lbs. Its only a 10k GVW truck. And this crack isnt even near the pivot point, its at the steering box. My family and I have been runnin 2wd Fords since the 70s off road, doin stuff that makes Mr Majestyk look like a ride in a golf cart. No cracks. I'd like to see just one of these MANY trucks you've had to repair. Just one. I'll eat my words if you can show me.
Did you ever notice how many lowrider chevy pickups there are on the road today? Today I was driving behind this S-10 lowrider , and the owner welded a piece of sheetmetal over the bed and painted it the color of the truck. He can't even place anything in the bed if he wanted to(not that he would anyways, it might scratch the paint in the bed). I would like to get his so called "truck" and take it to some of these construction sites travelling at 25 miles per hour in and out of the mud. Every time I see one of those lowrider trucks, I just want to run over it and smash it with my F-150. I don't see very many lowrider Rangers or F-Series on the road (Thank god!). Most of the F-Series pickups I see are on construction sites or hauling cargo from place to place. It just goes to show that those GM trucks are meant to be used as show vehicles, and not for doing work( example- Chevy S-10 Extreme).
my dad is a ford man, but being in the construction business he wanted the strongest truck on the market and he looked at the ch*vy's and the fords and the ch*vy frame just looked way too weak it was about as half as thick as his 97 f250 powerstroke.
