got my 4 link done this weekend, bought the welder series kit, verry nice kit, awesome guys to deal with! this was a universal kit and i upgraded the rear end mount to a air bag bracket kit, mounted up the bag brackets panhard bracket and i`m ready to roll! took roughly 6 hours to install, thats including removing the old axle mounts! pics in my gallery!
I also noticed the little ford tractor in the background of one of your pics
i work at a new holland dealer so we have a few of those fords kicking around! slowly getting her done, fixed the front mounts of the cab, just have to replace the front drivers side cab corner, dropped the cab last week when i was putting it back onto the chassis and damaged the bottom rear of the cab so now i have to repair that area and then start modifing my dash
not quite sure yet have so many ideas for it but which one would look better??, might stretch the dash out (giving it some depth) adding a center console, filing in all the holes adding a bubble for the speedo assy
i have to integrate all this with a bench seat, i would love to only have buckets but have a family and would like them to cruise with me, with buckets it makes it more simple as i would contour it right to the back of the cab, with the bench seat it has to flow down sort of like a ford coupe grille? something like that??
Man that sounds like you have some really great ideas for your truck.
I also like the buckets idea, but I dont have a family. I like the fact you are trying to do unique stuff, as well as accomidate the comfort of your family.
wish i had your time and your cash man...good show!!
total investment including the crown vic is $1000.00 so far, thats not including the truck but i traded that off for my compressor! trying to keep it on the cheap side!
Thats another thing I really respect, is a budget type build. I look forward to hearing more about your truck when you do stuff to it, give us other budget builders good ideas.
yep thats my goal, keep it as cheap as possible!! gotta go next week and scrounge around junk jards to find a brake pedal assy, my c.v one just does not work! see what other goodies i can find!
man that is cool... is it possible to drop frame tho? by the looks of it its not "extremely" low? or is that about how you want it? the lower the better in my opinion! you'd probably have to notch the frame and all that to do it tho hey? i've never had a chance to get a good look at those frames, but my old chebby needs some serious work to slam it...
