Talking Engine Tear Down Time

I am going out to start taking apart the 300 Inline six. I delivered the frame and wrecker body to the sandblasters today. Frank said two weeks and he will have it blasted and painted. He said he would not prime it just blast and use the frame paint on it. I guess this will be ok. What do you guiys and gals think. I will check back after I get back in from the garage. I'm in high gear now. I have to go Michigan to get the cab on Saturday.

Boy it sure is nice to be working on these old trucks again. I could not even go in my garage for a year after my dad committed scuicide, but sure feels good to be doing this truck for him!

kEVIN -WHAT is Frank charging to blast your truck? I also think you should have him prime and paint it while he has it. He does nice work. I have 2 cabs to blast soon, and wonder if it would be easier and cheaper for him to do them. Bill

Frank is going to paint the frame and the wrecker. He will also paint the wheels since he is blasting them as well. I will post pics of where I got to on the motor. I quit at 9:00 pm to go play cards. They basically paid for the sandblasting tonight. Cards were with me.

Kevin-what does it cost to blast the truck? I need to know as I am blasting my own--but with the weather and travel-may have him do it--and save me a backache...let me know

Small frame for F100 it about 250-300. He charged me 500 for my bigger trucks and painted them as well.
