Yup... Missing on both passenger and driver side front doors. I would like to use some RTV but I have window ventshades covering half of the opening.

Is this supposed to be acceptable quality control?

Good catch

Good catch on that. I went out to check mine and sure enough, they had already fallen in behind the trim peice. My truck is only 1.5 months old. I couldn't believe Ford hadn't switched glue by now.

I think the rubber piece is too small. It needs to completely fill that void and not rely on glue to hold it up in place.

couple questions

Where can I buy some RTV? Also, Do I need to pull the piece out if it's there? Do I need to discard the piece and simply fill in the gap or do i put some RTV and then put the piece on top of it?

Thanks for your responses and thanks for being so wicked smart!

Use tweezers and pull the item out. Fill the gap with clear silicone and then put the piece back and wipe the excess silicone off the trim. I did this last year and it's holding fine.

Just checked mine and the driver door was down inside the trim, pulled it out and set it in RTV. THe other three are good. Looks like it must have falling in the day they installed it at the factory as it was to small to stay put on it's own.

Thanks for the tip!

Mine was missing and I took it in under warranty and it was replaced.

Edit* To replace the tiny piece of rubber they have to remove the door panel then remove the black trim which it sits upon, takes about a hour. Had mine done at last service.

I think the automatic car wash ate mine.

Based on seeing this thread I just checked on my "new" 07 and found that the driver's side one was missing. I will have to see if I can dig it out this weekend and fix it. Thanks for this thread.

Funny thing is that it was probably the cause of the wind noise I had on the one that got totalled in February.

been missing 1 of these puppies since day 1. Dealership told me it was backordered when I asked for Warranty replacement.

but after all of the issues I had, I just gave up on it.

now I have to see if it dropped into the trim piece.

Does anyone know the the part # for this? I just purchased a 2007 Limited and after reading this thread discovered that both front pillars are missing.

It's probably not a separate piece. It might come with the black metal pillar cover that is riveted on the door.

Probably there. Dropped down inside between the trim and the door.
