Clutch Safety Switch 1992 F-150
I have another issue with my truck. When I try to start it, I have to press the clutch all the way to the floor (I have to pound it). I found a post to be helpful: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...-question.html But when I look at the linkage near the gas pedal, there is a plunger attached to a round post that seems to have a lot of slop in it. In other words, it looks like I could push is right off the post. Is there supposed to be something that snaps over the end of that post?

Its a plastic bushing that goes inside the clutch master cylinder pushrod (plunder) that usually gets brittle and breaks apart. It has 3 or 4 fingers on it that keep it from coming off. If yours is totally missing I can't see how its even staying on. You cold put a chicken stap on the end to help until you find one. I believe you can still get them at the dealership.
