2000 F350 need help

I have a 2000 f350 quad cab short bed dually 4x4. when driving the engine will run very strong for a little bit and then it will surge and be slugish, on occasion with the throttle down at normall speeds it will return to idle after a few seconds it will pick back up. i had the recall on the cps done a few months back. what will cause this, THANKS motor is stock no chips

Does your check engine light come on?? Id check into your TPS (throttle position sensor) Someone else should chime in with more suggestions.

Even after the recall you might still have a bad CPS. Try and get the dealer to swap the CPS for you again, or pick up a black one from an IH dealer or DP Tuner.

Maybe its because you have a dodge cab? (quad cab) Just teasing. I like the above ideas. Maybe get the codes read to see if anything is stored. And welcome to FTE!
