Transfer Case Adapter

Hey guys, I'm in need of an adapter that mates the big block C6 to the NP 205 Transfer Case. I'm striking out at my local junk yards. I thought I would ask the pro's where to get them. I haven't asked the ford house yet.

For whatever reason, these are hard to come by. If you have any independant tranny shops around you, I think that may be a good place to start. Might also try Advanced Adapters or some other such place, even though they deal in mostly swaps, they may have something. I'm not sure why these are so hard to get, other than maybe there just weren't that many set-up this way. Just a couple of years had the C6-205, most were C6-203's and the 205's going with manuals or divorce mounted. Now that I type this, might want to ask if the tail/adapter for the 203 would fit the 205, although I think you may have to be careful with the shaft length and spline count-kinda think they might have a different count on the shaft into the 'case. Might be worth checking out anyway, good luck in your quest!

Thanks for your help guys. I lucked out and found one from a gentleman in PA. However, GN, for your info. I found two places that sell them new. One is 4xheaven in NY. I would recomend them. They are the less expensive of the two. They want $125 for them. The other place is Performance Gear in MS. They want $200 for theirs and their staff, or at least the guy I talked to was an ---hole. Not to mention he hung up on me. He told me that the 208, and the 205 were the same adapter, and that all I had to do was notch the adapter to clear the shifter. I told him I thought he was wrong. He didn't seem to like that.

If you want you can purchase a 4x4 mag. In that mag there is a place named "Advanced Adapters". This store has an adapter for just about everything. I would try them, if they don't have it...well I couldn't imagine that. I have read alot on these guys everytime a 4x4 mag does a vehicle build up they are in the mix making things work. Check it out. Hope this helps.
