Diesel E4OD shift hard
7.3l Diesel has banks turbo
this tranny was rebuilt about a year and a half ago
after aboutr a month or two after, it started to shift hard 1 - 2, 2- 3 (3-OD isn't shifting that hard)
but it SLAMS into 2nd
I hardly drive it, but want to get it fixed now.
I took it back to the tranny guy and he said that when he bypasses the Computer that it shifts normal
we (he ) just put a new PRNDL switch on it - no effect
I have searched these forums and have a few ideas to try but wanted to see if anyone else had maybe a more precise answer for me
I think the ThPL was replaced as well but not 100% sure
I think I am going to start looking at the sensors like the VSS?? and its wiring

sorry, I meant to post that it was showing no codes
I have confidence in my tranny guy
he said he needs a certain tool for disgnostics and that even the local Ford dealership got rid of theirs.
is it "Star" or something like that
supposed to be for 93 and older fords?
the computer was replaced when it was rebuilt - not saying that it couldn't be bad.

it is a little better (so far) since he changed the PRINDLE switch, but still very solid engagement of second
