fuel mileage

Hey everybody, i'm thinking of buy a 7.3l power stroke. I'm just wondering what kind of fuel mileage do you guys get with your 7.3 diesels? On highway and in town. (miles per gallon) Anything would be very much appreciated.

My truck specs are in my signature, I see 16-18 around town/local driving short trips, interstate have seen 20+ if driving between 60-65 mph (this is without the wife with me nagging me that I am going too "slow" and taking too much time. I don't think a gas engine could come close to that in this sized truck.

I get about 18 on the highy way doing 70 and a little over 17 in town dirving nicely. It all depends on how you drive it. The nicer you drive teh better your milage.

I get around 17 just around town and on the highway if I drive reasonable about 65 it generally runs about 20-21. My truck has 3.55 rear gears.

My truck also has the 3.55 gears. At 60-65 the rpms are in the 1700-1800 range.

with stock injectors and the edge chip i was getting 16-17 driving from my house to town(about 15 mins. of highway driving) then driving around town then back home.

after putting stage 1 injectors in the truck i'm getting 18 driving around town. i got 22 when we went to san antonio for a dyno day which was about 2 hours of highway driving each way. filled up before leaving and filled up when we got back. i should be getting better right now b/c i have 300 miles on the rear tank and it's still just under a half tank and the front tank is still full!
