Speakers

For the people who have put speakers in their truck what brand have you gone with. dont want super cheap ones like pioners but not over kill either

I'm stuck between running four of:
Alpine type s Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. - SPS-507
Memphis Power reference 15-pr572 Speakers
Mtx Thunderc MTX Audio XT573 5" x 7" Speakers Car Speakers Car Audio and Video - Sonic Electronix

or higher class up front for now like:
type r Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. - SPR-57C
or the kicker ksseries 6x8 KICKER Car Stereo - Fuel for Livin' Loud!

anythoughts or suggestions? i'll be running them off a jvc deck for now then later on a 4 channel

Ps i have a 10 inch kicker cvt, it's loud enough dont want a retarded loud stereo just something that sounds good. i had the retarded loud in the civic lol

You may want to ask this in the Audio & Video Systems, Navigation, Satellite Radio and Mobile Electronics section further down in the forums.

I use the Polk audio 5x7 db571 coaxial speakers in both my trucks. Sounds much better than stock and you can usually find these speakers on sale at one of the big box stores.

I have those alpine type S in my truck running off the stock deck. I have zero complaints with the speakers, haven't been motivated enough to change out the head unit.

I have Memphis 15-PR572 Speakers in all four doors, great sounding x10 better over stock, picked them up on eBay. I believe they were 70.00 a set.

Here is a pic of them

I am running them with a Pioneer 2900mp head unit also.

EDIT: I see you already have these in your list, go with them you will not be disappointed!

That's a good price for JL's, however I'm not familiar with the TR series. I run JL 5x7 components in the front in my F150 and they sound great. But you gotta pay for JL's. I've had mine for about 5 years now and I think I paid about $350 for the pair back then.

I am running Alpine type R in the rear and DB Drive in the front. They both sound good, but both will need and amp. The Alpine type S and Infinity Reference make a good choice for running on the factory HU.
