I have been a frequent reader of tech sections here and figured it is about time to sign up. I have two ford project trucks, a 1988 Bronco II and a 1972 F250 I plan on working on over the next 2 or 3 years and look forward to the help and support. The Bronco II is going to be the first buildup. I am looking at D35 front and 8.8" rear swaps. What I am hoping is still being able to find a 91 or 92 4x4 Explorer for about $1500 (see them all the time on Craigs list) and stripping everything out of it. 4.0 liter, tranny, computers, axles, etc and swap it into the Bronco.
Next project or maybe even simultaneously is my 72 pickup. This one runs great and the motor (360 big block) and c6 are pretty fresh, it just looks like it fell out of the ugly and hit every branch on the way down. So....lots of sheet metal fabricating and such. I also would like to put on some headers and and manifold, but we will see, it runs really well and we use it for loads quite a bit.
Anyway...this is it.......Thanks in advance for all the future advice
Welcome aboard and as usual now is as a good time as any to sign up.
Congrats on your 2 Ford project trucks, some good plans there and you`ll be busy for a while I know.

It sure seems as though you have a busy future with some nice projects.
I've owned 2 Bronco II's in the past. Both were 87's; one a 5sp, the other an automatic. Neat little 4X4's. Great for hunting and both very good on gas with the 2.9 V-6.
