If it came out of an explorer I would get the brackets fro the shock mounts also then you can order the axle pads from Midfifty, JC Whitnel, or Summit to name a few. Due to the axle being larger than 3" I got the shock brackets from an explorer along with my axle.

I installed a Explorer rear end in my 52. I cut the original perches off and the sway bar mounts that where welded onto the back of the tubes.I then used the sway bar mounts as the new spring perches. They look just like spring perches but are used for a sway bar. They fit the axle tube perfect and are narrower then the origianals perches, so they fit the narrower 52 spring better. For the shock mounts I took the mount plate that has the four holes in it for the U bolts and cut the shock mount off them and contoured them to fit the axle and welded into place.Took what was left of the plate and used it to bolt the diff. in. Looks great. There is a pic in my gallery but its not a close up shot.

Its out of 99 Exploder. The engine and trans are out of a 90 Crown Vic. I got the drive shaft with the diff. I shortened the crown vic shaft and had the Exploder flange added to the end of it.Hope to have the engine and trans back in the frame in a few weeks.
