my birthday is on oct 19th and zz top is playing in grand forks nd on the 18th (about 280 miles from Bismarck where i live) me and my spouse are thinking about going to see the concert for my b-day has anyone seen them in concert? i immagin it would be a great show, what do you guys think?

 

they just came to my work and played, they are getting quite old but can still rock it pretty well all things considered

 

do you think its worth the trip? i love there music and have never seen them in concert figure they don't have many tours left in em. if we decide not to go ill probably just sit around the house and do nothing

 

Life is short do things you enjoy. My reasoning-I have survived (5) heart attacks, bypass surgery, 2 stents and a abdominal anyuerism repair. I live one day at a time and to the fullest.

 

They are great in concert,seen them 2 yrs ago......seems all the older groups dont loose it(that have stayed sober and alive anyways)...I have been to every Ozz fest since 2000...best one yet was the Black Sabbath reunion(I think it was '03)....drummer looked like my G-pa wailin away.

 

Ive seen them several times. My first was the Recycler tour, now that was a great show! Tons of special effects, little crushed cars they drove arround in, moving sidewalks, pyro, ect. I've also seen the Rythmeen tour it was great as well. The last few times i saw them (XXX tour, Mescalero tour) the music is still great, but they have toned it down a bit, mainly just a decorated up stage and them rockin out, they are getting old. I say if you are even a bit of a fan its worth going. They aint getting any younger and who knows how much longer they will be around and able to tour. Its worth it just to see them spin the fuzzy guitars.
