Well thanks to you both, unfortunately the color I want is only on the 08/09 that I know of, might have been on some 07. They have it on the Brabus version of some of their cars, and the SLR 772, it is their Matte Black paint.
2008 SLR McLarens had several different color blacks. here they are:
Cassiterite Black Metallic
Galaxite Black Metallic
Picotite Black Metallic
Pure Black
yes, Pure Black is not a metallic, and it is listed under 2008 SLR MCLarens color options. Looking at the car you linked, it almost has a satin black look to it. My guess is it's a one-off custom color option offered by Brabus.
Well, I have a little bit of an answer - it's not logical but I did notice that as well.
On that site, they post color charts that cover multiple years. Also, sometimes the color you want is on the "complete Ford colors" chart that is listed on the car side. So, if you look at the 53 chart sometimes it has 51-53 on it and they don't show redundant lists. So if yo are looking for a color in a year that's not shown, look a few years earlier or later, or in the car section and chances are you will find the colors.
Or (duh) they simply may not have the color sheet yet.
There are lots of places to find colors for those years. The color chips are shown in the "Salesmans Handbook" for each year. I hav ethe 51 book and I'm sure other members have each year. You can generally find internet pictures of cars or trucks with these colors on them by "googling."
Havi, it is an upgrade option, it is "Matte" which gives it that satin look u r talking about. Much nice then flat black, but with the same cool factor.
Yeah, I have considered it, but I am also building a truck ground up, fully. So cannot afford to paint it blue like I would prefer. Black, flat or matte, my builder and I can shoot. I know it will be hot, but for the mean time it will also look great while being hot. White does not do it for me haha.
