Yesterday I dumped my '08 King Ranch CC 6.4L F-250. Never had a day I liked it, driveability sucked, the transmission was like a lottery ball selector, and it couldn't pass a fuel pump.
I traded in an '04 6.0L Ex to buy it.....what a mistake.
So a located a 2001 V-10 Ex Limited with 27,000 miles for cheap, only $11,500. It's a late build, no cylinder head problems. So I figure this is the best replacement for the POS F-250, and the price was smoking hot.
I now have a vehicle to tow the boat or travel trailer, take the family somewhere, etc. and don't have much money in the deal. I'm going to buy a daily driver and keep the Ex in the garage when it's not being used.
I dunno about you guys, but after owning three Excursions previously I have to say they are the baddest truck ever built. I'm a much happier guy tonight.
I know exactly how you feel
After owning about 20 cars and trucks over the years, I have only had 2 that I truly enjoyed driving. About 40 years ago I had a 69 Dodge Coronet 440 R/T my first love for a car, I still miss it. Now I still have my 03 Excursion limited. It is not going any where preiod. So it will never be missed. P.S. notice they both are gas hogs, but really WHO CARES, not me.
